Website Content Audit Services for Businesses

Let's find out what your website content can really do.

Sometimes your website simply needs a fresh pair of eyes. A content audit gives you a clear picture of what's working, what could work better, and exactly where to focus your time, effort, and budget next.

What is a Content Audit?

A website content audit is a detailed review of the words and structure on your site, with one main aim: to help your content support the growth you want.

For a product-based business, that means looking at how every key part of your website is working together to:

  • Help new visitors understand you quickly

  • Make it easy for people to find the right products

  • Support confident buying decisions

  • Encourage customers to come back

So instead of randomly rewriting product descriptions at 10pm or adding more banners to the homepage, an audit gives you a clear, strategic view of what is working, what is getting in the way, and where your biggest opportunities are.

When your website's ready for a fresh look

You're working with a smaller budget and want to DIY your copy, but start from a strong foundation

You've had your store live for a while and want to check in on how it's performing

You're getting mixed feedback or slow conversions and want to see where the content gaps might be

You're planning a refresh and want to know what's worth keeping and what could be swapped

What gets the spotlight in your audit?

Your homepage

How easy does it make to shop with you from the get-go?

Your About page

Is it up-to-date and tells a story only your business could tell?

Your FAQs

Are you providing solutions and making people feel looked after?

Your tone + brand voice

Are we a Chatty Cathy one page then a Debbie Downer the next?

Your structure + flow

Do you send customers round the houses before they can buy anything?

Any content gaps

What are your competitors doing that you should be doing too?

Plus, you’ll get a spot check on:

Your products - are they giving customers the information they need to convert? Are they doing the job of answering questions, reducing doubt, and selling?

Your collections - do they help people navigate and shop easily? Are you making it easy for someone to understand what they're looking at? Is there a clear intro or any helpful text at all?

Why hire me to run your website content audit?

Something I always tell my clients is that I’ve been there on the front line, picking and packing orders, managing operations, and chatting with customers in real-time. My warehousing background and general e-commerce experience puts me in a unique position to provide you with insights that make a real difference to you and your team.

I know you’re not just looking for better product descriptions.

You (and your warehouse manager!) are longing for less returned parcels to turn up on a daily basis.

I know you’re not just wanting a more consistent brand voice.

You (and your customer service advisors!) need to feel confident that you’re always being represented the same way across your site.

And best of all, I’m a self-confessed online shopper lover. So I know exactly what I want to see when I’m buying online.

All of which leads me to audit your website content through three very specific lenses...

How does your content audit service work?

Step 1

Drop me a message, and we'll get a date in the diary to have a chat through what you’re looking for with your audit.

Too easy.

Step 2

On our call, this is a great time for both of us to ask questions. You might have lots for me about the process or what I'll be reviewing, and I'll be digging in deeper to really get to know your business.

Afterwards, I'll send over a clear proposal with everything we've discussed outlined and confirmed: timing, pricing, and the pages we've agreed to include in your audit. I'll also send over a questionnaire for you to fill out, which will provide me with the insights I need.

You'll give me the green light to go ahead and pay a small deposit to secure your spot. Then we're ready to roll.

Step 3

This is where I'm in my element - at my desk with a cup of tea, my classical musical playlist on, doing the groundwork, and going through your site with expert eyes.

Meanwhile, you’re doing what you do best, knowing that you’ll soon have your audit appearing in your inbox.

Step 4

Your full audit document arrives, packed with observations, recommendations, and clear next steps for every section we've covered.

If you'd like to talk through the findings or ask questions, you can book an optional, complementary 30-minute follow-up call. Some people love having that chat, others prefer to dive straight in and crack on - it’s completely up to you!

So, how much does a content audit cost?

Website Content Audit

from NZ$650

Some businesses have a few key collections. Others have dozens of pages, hundreds of products, or content tucked into all sorts of places.

So the final price will depend on how big your store is and how much content there is to review.

Once I've had a look at your site and we've had a quick chat, I'll send through a clear quote based on what you need.
